The liquid piston Stirling heat engine, also known as the Fluidyne engine, utilizes liquid water as pistons that are enclosed in a cylinder which entraps a working gas. The use of liquid pistons as opposed to solid conventional pistons allows for much cheaper and simpler engine manufacturing. We are developing a variety of liquid piston Stirling engines, including:
